Agreed.

Just to clarify this trade, GTG won't be able to keep Soto out of the free agent draft with his current contracts. Grabow also he wont be able to retain. May has B potential and will be able to start for him right away and he can keep control of him for a while, same with Collins who would be his only lefty he will be able to retain after free agency cuts. And Odrozzi is an A potential SP prospect. Soto can come right in, I am planning on using a chize to keep him, and will start. Grabow I will be able to fit in as my lefty out of the pen until he is released this offseason and entered into the FA draft.

Cubs and Royals reach an agreement. (REJECTED) Rejected

Sorry guys but this is a very uneven trade. The Royals are giving up way to much to gain too little. Here is essentially what we are looking at:

Cubs Get:

C Lucas May #1 C, 26 yrs old, OVR C, B POT
RP Tim Collins #4 RP, 21 yrs old, OVR C, B POT
SP Jake Odorizzi #12 SP, 21 yrs old, OVR D, A POT

Royals Get:

C Geovany Soto #1 C, 28 yrs old, OVR C, B POT
RP John Grabow #4 RP, 32 yrs old, OVR C, C POT

On Paper May and Soto are quite comparable and May is entering his prime progression years while Soto will remain stagnant. The Royals would also have to use a claim on Soto to keep him on the roster. Even If May for Soto is deemed a fair trade, trading too young prospects for 1 much older average RP doesn't add up. If you guys wish for this trade to go through GTG will either have to add talent and/or MG will have to remove some.
